Normally I let Spotify, BIRP, and friends guide me to the good stuff but for today's assignment (to highlight the pros and cons of a blog) I thought I would try and find some cool music blogs I enjoyed.
Though it hasn't been updated since the beginning of December, I definitely liked Let Me Like It. This music blog profiles "music outside the spotlight"--so basically it features unsigned musicians.
Every post has a similar style, featuring a large image of the artist and a description of their sound. The blog provide links to the bands' Facebook page and website. The blog also has tabs that link you to their facebook page, last.fm, spotify, twitter, and upcoming album releases.
Even though Let Me Like It has over 300 followers, the blog doesn't appear to have any advertisements. The more recent posts don't really have any comments on them, but posts dating back to June usually have 3 or 4 comments each. If only Let Me Like It updated more often, then I'd love it.
The Best: Nothing But Hope and Passion
It doesn't matter if you like Indie, Mainstream, Trip Hop, Hip Hop, Classical, NBHP has it all. Links to videos, reviews, official sites. Check this: They even have their own radio player. But beware: LOTS of advertising with automatic audio and that can get super annoying. But hey, yah gotta make bank.
FIRST haha. Let me just say that that discovering and experiencing good (which is a matter of perspective of course) new music is the most wonderful and amazing feeling ever. So keep on posting because I'm always on the lookout for awesome new music in all genres that I can share with my friends.
